We are One of San Diego’s only licensed Medical Marijuana dispensary. We are looking to hire a new Cannabis Consultant. This role consists of Providing excellent customer service to our members along with, providing them with product knowledge to ensure they receive the medicine most appropriate for their needs. You will be Supporting the Reception and Inventory teams in all ways that makes everyone’s job flow, execute all tasks and duties with efficiency and professionalism.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Always greeting returning members and new members with a smile and making the member feel comfortable and cared for. Ensuring member satisfaction and being personable Always making the member feel like their every need has been met and that their experience will be smooth and seamless. Have the ability to handle any situation with patience and professionalism
Product Knowledge: Be able to provide all members with not only the basic knowledge about all products that we carry but to know extensive knowledge in all cannabis related areas. Engage in continued learning forums about new forms of Cannabis and new products that have hit the market when there is down-time
Communications: Must be able to utilize company communication platform, Asana, effectively and daily to ensure company transparency and flow. Must be a team player. Communicates daily with Inventory room regarding the stocking and inventory levels of retail floor, Work directly with the Reception to effectively and efficiently welcome new members and welcome back returning members, communicate all needed office supplies to appropriate staff member when running low
Retail Room needs: Keep POS station clean, organized and free of any clutter, to keep retail om organized, orderly and stocked
Sales Entry: Be able to use and move throughout our POS, MJ Freeway, entering in product purchases as well as all other sales functions
Store Needs: Mopping, dusting and cleaning is done at the end of shift and ensuring all recycling and trash is taken out.
Inventory Needs: Making sure sales shelves are well stocked and organized. Inform Department head/Supervisor when inventory is getting low on items.
Events: Working at any company events when needed
Qualifications and Background:
Exceptional Customer Service skills
2+ years of previous Cannabis Consultant/Bud Tending experience
Basic knowledge of Cannabis
3+ years Sales experience
Exceptional communication and people skills – can represent the company with professionalism and confidence
A bright and positive, can-do, solutions oriented attitude – especially under pressure; stays upbeat, creative, and goal focused despite setbacks
Professionalism: Attention to detail, punctual, follow through, self-motivating and managing, organized, focused, completion oriented – excellence oriented
Basic computer skills and competence with: Word, Excel, email, social media, Google, etc.
Time management skills
Willing to do whatever is needed, no job beneath you. Sometimes taking initiative to figure out what’s needed and sometimes taking directives on simple tasks.
Cultural and values match
Relevant experience (admin, customer service experience, Phone experience, etc.)

Experience with MJ Freeway POS
Knowledge of taking care of Clones
Inventory Management experience.

Reports to: Cannabis Consultant/Retail Department head.
Works Directly with: All Cannabis Consultants and Inventory Department Staff
